The diagnosis of a malignant tumor can often lead to uncertainty. Sometimes it can be important to ask for an independent medical opinion (second opinion) when taking far-reaching decisions. Often this confirms a previously proposed course, but second opinions can also serve to point out possible alternatives.

If a second opinion is desired, then copies of all existing documents and findings are needed for the correct assessment – these can be, for example, laboratory and pathology reports, X-ray or nuclear medical examinations, further diagnostic examinations (e.g. endoscopies) and all available reports. Ideally, please ask your primary care physician to refer you to us.

Requests for a second opinion can be made by telephone (+41 62 836 78 30) , by fax (+41 62 836 78 31) or email (sekretariat@tumor-zentrum.ch), we kindly request you to send at the same time all relevant information and documents.
